Wallets

A wallet holds a balance in one currency. Workspaces can hold wallets in any of 34 currencies. Every balance is derived from the double-entry ledger, so it always reconciles.

Amounts are decimal strings to avoid floating-point rounding. Available is what you can pay out now. Pending includes incoming payments that have not settled and outgoing payments awaiting approval.

Currency conversion

Conversions use the mid-market rate plus a spread of 0.35% on Pro and 0.50% on Starter. Request a quote first with POST /v1/payments/conversions/quote; quotes are firm for 30 seconds.

The ledger

Every movement of money is a posting with two or more lines that sum to zero per currency. Postings are immutable; corrections are reversing postings.

Export the ledger to DATEV, NetSuite or CSV from Payments, Ledger, Export.

Compliance

ConsciousLab is a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider. Card data is tokenised by our acquirers and never reaches your servers or ours in clear text. Wallets are held with our licensed e-money partner in segregated safeguarding accounts.
